The new Volkswagen Jetta tiers remain the same as the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta trims, meaning you get a familiar yet refreshed selection:
As we shall see, each of the 2025 Jetta trim levels provides impressive amenities for daily commuters and road-trip adventurers. The entry-level S model is well-equipped with standard technology, safety systems, and a stylish yet comfortable interior, while the SEL variant is almost decadent in the comforts and advanced technologies it offers.
The first of the 2025 VW Jetta trims is the S variant. This base version of the new VW Jetta promises a competitive blend of value and features, boasting a 1.5-liter turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine that puts out 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This model comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, making it an attractive choice for drivers who value efficiency and ease.
Despite being the first of the VW Jetta trim levels, this vehicle has much to offer for a pleasant journey. The car has two-zone climate control, comfortable cloth upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with built-in audio controls.
The VW Jetta boasts cutting-edge safety technology on every trim level, including:
The next stop in our VW Jetta trim comparison is the Sport model. It adds numerous upgrades to the vehicle. The S variant has 16-inch machined alloy wheels, but the Sport has a 17-inch set. The car also boasts the XDS Cross Differential System, boosting the performance of front-wheel-drive vehicles like the new Jetta.
The Sport trim adds heated front sport comfort seats and stainless steel pedal caps to your new ride. It also has black accents on the exterior and inside the cabin, including a black headliner. These details add flair tha
Nearing the top of the lineup of VW Jetta trim levels is the SE iteration. It has remote engine start, keyless access, push-button start, and wireless charging for compatible devices. The SE trim also comes with CloudTex upholstery that is comfortable and easy to clean and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Your friends and family will appreciate the USB-C ports that come standard on this model, making it easy to stay connected and charged up on longer journeys.
The top-tier option among the 2025 VW Jetta configurations provides drivers with numerous premium features despite not bearing a luxury car price tag. The 2025 VW Jetta SEL has leather upholstery, a sunroof, a premium BeatsAudio® sound system, the 10.25-inch VW Digital Cockpit Pro, and heated rear outboard seats. The front seats are ventilated, too; this vehicle can keep you comfortable at the height of summer and in the depths of winter.
With wireless charging capabilities and a remote start function, the VW Jetta SEL is outfitted with the cutting-edge technology many drivers seek in a new vehicle. The Jetta interior trim differences are most pronounced between the SEL model and the rest of the Jetta lineup.

There are four trim levels for the 2025 VW Jetta: S, Sport, SE, and SEL. Each includes a compelling range of features that gets more impressive as you ascend. The entry-level model provides versatile, thoughtful amenities like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and numerous advanced safety systems. Choose the highest trim of VW Jetta models for this year – the SEL – for the most ultra-luxe amenities.
The SEL trim replaces the SE model’s leatherette upholstery with genuine leather. It also adds front-seat ventilation, heated rear outboard seats, and a sunroof. The SEL trim is designed for drivers who crave the most luxurious features, but it does come at a higher price than the SE model. Please visit our Gunther Volkswagen of Fort Lauderdale dealership to see them for yourself.
Every one of the Jetta trim levels provides incredible value to motorists. However, if you’re looking for the most premium ride, the VW Jetta SEL is likely the best Jetta trim, with leather seating surfaces, a sunroof, and a remote start function. The rest of the lineup does come at a lower price than the SEL trim, which may be more enticing to some.
The lineup of trims for VW cars varies from model to model. You’ll find that some vehicles start with the S trim and then step up to the SE and SEL from there. The Jetta has a Sport model between the S and SE trims, while other models like the Atlas have unique editions like SE with Technology. Please contact the Gunther Volkswagen of Fort Lauderdale team to learn more.
None of the available 2025 VW Jetta trim levels are available with a manual transmission. This is a change for the 2025 model year, as some of 2024’s VW Jetta trim levels offered a manual transmission. If you want a 2025 model with a manual gearbox, you’ll need to look at the more performance-focused VW Jetta GLI, which is powered by a bigger engine.
