The water pump circulates coolant fluid through the engine absorbing heat. This fluid passes through the radiator where the fan blows the heat away from the engine. The extreme heat and materials found in the engine’s cooling system will eventually cause problems with the coolant’s integrity. If your vehicle is due for a coolant fluid exchange or you are experiencing any of the symptoms of bad coolant fluid, we invite you to our Volkswagen Service Department. We are located conveniently in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, near Hollywood, FL, Pompano Beach, Plantation, and Davie.
Here at Gunther Volkswagen, every service features a Volkswagen-Trained Technician, a certified service protocol, and factory authorized fluids and parts. With a coolant fluid exchange, one of our expert technicians starts by draining your fluid and inspecting the engine cooling system for defects. If they find a worn out or damaged part allowing coolant to escape they will repair it before installing new fluid. Rest assured that our service department will restore your engine to peak performance, always according to Volkswagen’s factory specifications.
As coolant fluid loses integrity through contamination or leaks out of the engine cooling system, engine cooling performance declines. It is always an excellent idea to follow the Scheduled Maintenance for coolant fluid exchange outlined in every owner’s manual. However, if you drive under risky conditions, you might need to exchange your coolant fluid sooner due to damaged parts causing leaks or contamination. If you begin to notice any of the symptoms it time to schedule corrective maintenance regardless of the mileage.
